Prof. Dr. Harun Mindivan serves as a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Bilecik Seyh Edebali University. Throughout his academic and administrative career, he has undertaken significant roles in university-industry collaboration, the development of research infrastructure and the strengthening of the R&D ecosystem.

Between 2014 and 2017, he served as Director of the Central Research Laboratory at Bilecik Seyh Edebali University; between 2016 and 2018 as Director of Osmaneli Vocational School; between 2018 and 2024 as Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; and between 2018 and 2019 as Vice Rector. He also served as the founding Coordinator of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) between 2017 and 2022, and as a Board Member of Anadolu Technology Research Park (ATAP) Inc. between 2021 and 2022.

As a member of the Public-University-Industry Collaboration (KUSI) Working Group established by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in 2014, he served as the Bilecik Provincial KUSI Representative between 2016 and 2020. He has also served as a reviewer, monitor and consultant in numerous TUBITAK-TEYDEB and KOSGEB R&D and innovation projects. Holding an R&D and Innovation Mentorship Certificate, Prof. Dr. Harun Mindivan provides mentoring support to companies in evaluating and improving their R&D and innovation capacities.

Prof. Dr. Harun Mindivan completed his graduate studies at Istanbul Technical University, receiving his master's degree in 2001 and his doctoral degree in 2007. He worked as a research assistant at Istanbul Technical University between 1998 and 2007. Since 2014, he has continued his academic work at Bilecik Seyh Edebali University.

His research areas focus on surface engineering, tribology, metal matrix composites and advanced coating technologies. In particular, he conducts studies on the wear, corrosion and tribocorrosion behavior of aluminum, steel, copper and brass alloys through surface treatment methods such as electroless coating, electroplating, nitriding and boriding. He also carries out research aimed at improving the structural, mechanical and tribological properties of different coating systems and composite materials.

Prof. Dr. Harun Mindivan has more than 100 scientific articles published in national and international journals and more than 90 conference papers.
